The short version
- We collect what we need to run a local job marketplace, nothing to sell to advertisers. We never sell your data.
- Your resume is private by default and only shared with employers you apply to (or, if you switch on "open to work," with verified employers).
- We use essential cookies only, no cross-site ad tracking, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
- Card payments run through Stripe; your full card number never touches our servers.
- You can access, export, correct, or delete your data anytime from Settings or by asking us, see Your rights.
1Who we are
Hire30A ("Hire30A," "we," "us") is a regional job marketplace for 30A, South Walton, and the wider Emerald Coast of Florida. For privacy law purposes, Hire30A is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us anytime through our Support Center or at support@hire30a.com. We are based in Walton County, Florida, USA.
2What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the marketplace. That falls into a few buckets:
- Account basics, your name, email address, and role (job seeker or employer). We sign you in with a one-time email code or magic link, so we do not store passwords.
- Profile & resume (job seekers), your headline, bio, phone, town, skills, work history, LinkedIn URL, availability, work-eligibility answers, and any resume file or photo you upload.
- Employer & job data, your business page, logo, team members you invite, job posts, screening questions, applications you receive, private notes and scorecards your team writes, and offer-letter details.
- Marketplace activity, applications, messages between candidates and employers, interview times (including calendar invites we email when a business turns that on), and offers.
- Support & verification, anything you send us through the Support Center, including documents you submit for business verification. If you are not signed in, a name and email are optional.
- Billing status, which plan your account or business is on. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we receive a confirmation and limited details (like the card brand and last four digits), never your full card number.
- Phone number, if you provide one, only used to send a text you opted into (like an interview-confirmation alert), through our SMS provider, Twilio. Optional, and off unless you turn it on in Settings.
- Referral tracking, if you arrive via someone's referral link, a cookie remembers the code for 30 days so we can credit them if you sign up. See Cookies.
- Approximate country, derived from your IP address using a locally-hosted MaxMind GeoLite2 lookup at the time of your visit. Your IP address itself is never sent to MaxMind or any other third party, only an aggregate country code is stored against the visit.
- Limited technical data, basic usage counts and analytics (pages viewed, device, and referral source) collected through Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it, plus the cookies described in Cookies. We don't run advertising networks or sell your data, and analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner.
3How & why we use it
We use your information to operate Hire30A, keep it safe, and improve it. If you're in a region with privacy laws like the EU/UK GDPR, here is what we do and our legal basis for each:

Employers may use candidate information only to evaluate candidates for their own open roles. We don't make solely-automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4How we share it
We share information only in these ways, and never by selling it:
- With employers you apply to, your profile, resume, and answers go to the businesses whose jobs you apply for.
- With verified employers, if you opt in, turning on "open to work" lets verified employers with talent-search access discover your profile. You can turn this off anytime.
- With service providers ("processors") who help us run the platform, under contract and only for that purpose: Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messages, only if you opt in and provide a phone number), Google Analytics (site-usage measurement), our web hosting and email provider (to store data and send email), and similar infrastructure vendors.
- For safety and law, to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or comply with a valid legal request.
- In a business transfer, if Hire30A is ever acquired or merged, data may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
5Resume & profile visibility
Your resume is private by default. It's disclosed only to: (1) you; (2) employers you apply to; and (3), only if you switch on "open to work", verified employers with talent-search access. Change your visibility or delete a resume anytime from your profile; that removes it from future sharing. See the finding jobs guide for how visibility works.
6Cookies & tracking
We use a small set of essential cookies, the kind a site can't function without (staying signed in, CSRF protection), which are set regardless since consent law doesn't require asking for those. The only cookie beyond that's Google Analytics, and it doesn't load at all until you accept it in the cookie banner shown on your first visit, decline and it never loads, change your mind later by clearing your browser's site data for hire30a.com. We run no advertising networks and no cross-site ad tracking. We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing (we do not sell either way).

7How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active so the marketplace works. When you delete your account (see below), we remove your profile, resume, messages, and business data. We retain limited records longer only where we must, for example, billing and tax records for the period required by law, support tickets for a limited time for customer-service and quality purposes, and resolved abuse or safety reports for a limited time to protect the community. Backups are cycled out on a rolling basis.
8Your rights & choices
You can access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your information. If you are in the EU/UK, these are your GDPR rights, including the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA give you the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we do neither), and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
- Export your data: Settings → Privacy & data → Download my data. Builds and downloads immediately, nothing to wait on.
- Delete your account: the same Settings page, under Danger zone. Removes your profile, resume, and associated data.
- Sign out everywhere: also under Privacy & data, ends every signed-in session on every device at once.

To export a copy of your data or exercise any other right, just ask us through Support and we will take care of it, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first to protect your account.
9Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), signed-in access controls so users only see their own data, private-by-default resumes, and passwordless email sign-in that avoids stored passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe and will notify you and the authorities as required if a breach ever affects you.
10International data
Hire30A is operated from the United States and our providers store data in the U.S. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.
11Children
Hire30A is not intended for children. You must be old enough to work under applicable law to use it, and at least 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16; if you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.
12Changes & contact
