How account credit works
Account credit is money we have set aside on your Hire30A account that comes off your next charge automatically, before your card is ever touched. You don't have to enter a code or click anything, it just applies.
Where credit comes from
- Switching annual to monthly. If you're on an annual plan and switch to monthly partway through the year, the time you already paid for but haven't used becomes credit. Nothing is lost, it moves to your balance.
- Goodwill and adjustments. If our team credits your account after a billing question, it lands here too.
How it's used
Credit is applied automatically, in this order, before any card charge:
- Your next plan renewal, or
- Your next purchase (a new plan, an extra job slot, or featuring a job).
If a purchase costs more than your credit, the credit is taken off first and your card covers the rest. If it costs less, the leftover credit stays on your balance for next time.
Where to see your balance
Your current credit shows at the top of your Billing page whenever it's above zero, and on every plan-change review screen so you always know what you have before you confirm.
If your balance shows an amount owed
On rare occasions, usually a manual billing adjustment, a balance can go the other way and show an amount owed instead of credit. You'll see it clearly labeled on Billing, it isn't something that happens from normal use. It's collected the same automatic way credit is applied, added to your very next real charge, so most of the time you don't need to do anything. You can also pay it off right now with one click from the "Pay now" button on your Billing page, no waiting for a renewal.
If a paid plan's balance goes unpaid for a while, we'll give you a heads-up with a countdown on Billing, and if it's still open when that runs out, the plan moves to Free until it's settled (the amount owed stays on your account either way, it isn't erased). We would rather you keep everything, so paying it off or reaching out if something looks off is always the easiest path. Reach out any time and we'll sort it out.
Good to know
- Credit is applied in U.S. dollars toward Hire30A charges only.
- It has no cash value and isn't refundable or transferable, it's a credit toward the service, not a cash balance.
- It doesn't expire while your account is open, but unused credit is forfeited if the account is closed.
