Notifications and email alerts

For everyone

Two layers keep you in the loop, and you decide how loud the second one is.

The bell

The bell icon in the top nav shows every update the moment it happens:

  • New applications
  • Messages
  • Status changes
  • Interviews
  • Offers

Click any notification to jump straight to what it's about, and Mark all read to clear the list.

Email alerts, by type

Settings breaks email alerts into the same three types for everyone:

  • Applications & messages
  • Interview activity
  • Offers

Turn any of them off on their own, applications and interviews can still email you while offers stay quiet, for example.

Turning off everything at once

There is also a single "Don't email me about anything" switch at the top of that section. It overrides the per-type choices below it while it's on, so you don't need to also uncheck all three individually.

One exception: if a hiring team set up an automatic calendar invite for a confirmed interview, that invite still arrives even with everything else muted. It's logistics for an interview you already agreed to, not a marketing email, so it isn't something the mute switch is meant to catch.

Text messages, if you want them

Prefer a text for the time-sensitive stuff? If texting is switched on for your account, you can turn on "Text me when an interview is confirmed" from Settings. It needs a phone number on file, and it's opt-in, off unless you choose it. Standard message rates from your carrier apply.

Job seekers: one more kind

On a Plus plan, you can also turn on job-match alerts, a different kind of email that fires when a new listing matches a saved search, not tied to your account activity at all. That's separate from the free weekly digest of new roles in your towns, which anyone can toggle in the same place.
